Year 12 had a fundraiser at Bunnings Villawood yesterday and it was a great day :)
It started around 8 but I arrived a bit later, cause I was held up. I always seem to be late to anything >.> So, I started out having nothing to do cause I always stand around awkwardly debating how I should help haha. This is the same as at the temple when I help out. Only a little while later did Hussein arrive, apparently walking 2 hours from home o__o Dedication man.
It was the beginning of the day so there was a lot to do. There was someone cutting the bread, cooking the sausages, putting the drinks in the ice... you know, all that stuff. It still being early, business was slow, so when the first customer came up, we were all happy :P We were also very slightly awkward in making is as well cause we weren't used to it yet. Gradually we got busier and even had times where there were many customers waiting because it wasn't finished cooking.
We had someone taking the orders (sometimes two), two people cooking and watching, another chopping onions and one or two getting the bread and putting it together. I was the one who put it together :) While there was another person as well in the morning, they ended up leaving early, so the people taking orders helped out when it got busy. It got really busy at times, and there were even people who ordered 6 or 8 at a time :) After a while others arrived to help out, and there ended up being too many in the tent so some had to take a break and go outside.
I took a break for lunch cause I'd been helping out a majority of the time and went to get food at the nearby McDonalds. Uhh sorry? Haha, didn't get a sausage cause I was never a fan of it. Besides, my sister and I got ice cream from Kelvin :D We then went back over to the BBQ and after I finished eating, hung out with the others watching them play on my sister's Ipad. They really love it haha. Since I was already not helping and there were enough people, Kelvin, my sister and me went into Bunnings looking for a heater cause it was cold. We ended going exploring around to the lights and then signs cause Bunnings a good place to walk around checking out stuff. It then led to us going to the play equipment and then outdoor furniture. They were cool and I've always liked those swinging chairs :) Next was statues, cabinets and finally the garden :D They moved it around so there was no pond but once we finished we just went back out the others. Everything seemed like it didn't need my help so then I went to the arcade.
Before we even got there, Tommy had to go,home so it ended up being Kelvin, my sister and me again. None of us ha any money left actually, but there were machines that had credit in them so we got free games \(^o^)/ Hehe everytime I've been there I've been lucky. We were racing against each other but I accidentally chose a manual car so Kelvin was changing gears for me... We each got a few turns om that one because there just seemed to be more credit in it afterwards. I'm actually a pretty horrible driver when playing with an actual steering wheel. Between the racing, there was also DDR, which we played with all 3 people, and even a shooting game where you shoot moose o_o While I was walking around during a race between the other two, David came up to me. Apparently everyone had finshed and gone home :( I didn't mean to stay the whole time it was just meant to be a break. Either way, it was too late, and so Vincent and him joined in. We got a few more games before we left cause it was getting late. Lucky we left when we did cause my parents came back early... But we just passed it off with it finishing early and that my sister and just came out from the side.
Overall, it was a fun day. Hanging out with people I don't usually talk to was nice and the mucking about was fun as well. There was more I wanted to write but it just didn't seem to fit in :( Oh wells.
